Sealing and Smoothing the Forms

Below is a timelaps video of sealing the forms, sanding and polishing them to achieve a smooth finish ready for casting using the technique previously mentioned. You can see the method of sanding the foam with wet and dry, washing and then painting it with at least two coats of emulsion, sanding this back with wet and dry again and finally polishing the surface back with a damp cotton rag. It was a very tedious and time consuming process involving many hours of sanding, polishing, painting and re-coating. But I am very pleased with the final result and it should hopefully save me time on finishing once the pieces have been cast.
