Exploring how I might construct the forms I am producing on Grasshopper, I experimented with building the forms in layers. Below are some laser cut experiments, made by slicing the objects in Rhino and converting it to a readable lasercutterble file (illustrator ‘AI’ file).
I like the results. I like how by breaking down the form into layers, you can see all the resulting forms and lines made from each shape. However, I wasn’t so keen on how it looks like contours of mountains; I would be a bit concerned that this is what people would initially think of when they first saw the form, taking it way from the actual concept.
